Spill Response Training

Your spill responders are your most valuable asset in ensuring protection of your site and the environment from pollution incidents. As legislation changes and enhancements are made in spill prevention products it is critical that spill responders and environmental officers are aware of this.  The effectiveness of your sites spill prevention strategy and response plan is greatly influenced by staff training.

Having spill kits and equipment is important but knowing how to use them is essential.

Investment in spill training assists towards ISO14001 and Investors In People, meets with regulations including Pollution Prevention Guidelines (PPG21) and Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH) and forms part of your Pollution Incident Response Plan.

For everyday operations spill training ensures familiarity with your Emergency Plan, reduces likelihood of a pollution incident, significantly reduces costs associated with spill clean up, provides knowledge and skills needed to safely manage spills on site and creates awareness of the potential risks associated with liquid spills.

Training is undertaken by our experienced, dedicated trainers with real experience of spills.  Courses can be tailored to your own unique requirements and all candidates receive a certification.

Training can be carried out at your site of our training centres in Kent and Merseyside.

“Major pollution incidents can in many cases be prevented if appropriate pollution prevention measures are taken at an early stage. Planning is the key to success, and both preventative measures and incident response strategies need to be carefully addressed”.
